elect-
ed nine times over 25 years at
two levels of government in two sepa-
rate provinces, and has represented the
best interests of Canadians throughout
his career.

in foreign affairs, held the leadership

Day has been an important part
of Canadian politics and international

While Day did not seek re-elec-

Canada’s position on the world stage
as the country becomes more competi-
tive internationally. He serves on the
boards of Telus, Eminata, Home Equity
Bank, the International Federation of
Christians and Jews, the Canada India
Business Council, the Canada China
Business Council (Vice-Chair), and the
Council on Jewish and Israel affairs.
What have been your proudest
accomplishments, in your career both
in politics and away from the politi-
cal sphere?
Stockwell Day:
Anything I’ve
been able to do in my career has been
the direct result of working with great
people. You can’t succeed in this busi-
ness without great support and great
advice. I advise people now that one of
the best things you can do is hire peo-
ple that are smarter than you are.
