The Calgary Stampede showcases
western hospitality; it is a unique place
to host clients and staff. The original
deal made by the Big Four [wealthy
Alberta cattlemen who funded the
original Stampede] was done with a
handshake and we like to stay true to a
personal way of business.
CIO:
Does the Stampede strengthen
the business community in Alberta?
JB:
The Calgary Stampede is a time
where businesses host clients, execu-
tives and families. Whether companies
are involved in the Stampede from
a sponsorship perspective or simply
hosting an employee BBQ or pancake
breakfast, painting their window or
dressing western for ten days—all
business can be involved with the
Stampede which in turn represents our
western heritage and values.
CIO:
What opportunities exist at the
Stampede for companies who want
more brand awareness?
JB:
The Stampede offers a number of
different sponsorship opportunities
from $1,500 to $375,000 plus.
CIO:
What is the biggest challenge
when considering entertaining such a
diverse crowd?
JB:
We offer many different programs
